I was provided with a free product for this review but the opinions are 100% mine.
Is your front door tired, rundown? Does it poop out at parties? Ok, so a front door doesn't attend parties but it definitely welcomes guests that are attending your parties.
The above photo is my before photo folks. Taken last fall from a very strategic distance. Why from such a distance, besides trying to getting all of the decor in??
Because this was the ugly truth of my front door. Faded, dirty, scratched from the dogs
(Why did I ever train them to scratch to go in and out?!)
So, enough was enough. Time to revive my front door and to make a welcoming entrance for our guests.
I met Modern Masters last year at Haven, a blogger conference. The rep endured all of my whining and answered my questions about the blazing evening heat and the dogs' claws and the harshness of country living. That's when I decided to give their Front Door paint a try and I'm so glad I did!
My old front door was painted black which faded and just left the front porch sort of lifeless. I considered several bright colors that are so popular right now. However, I ended up choosing Peaceful, a beautiful navy blue because I love all shades of blue and this fits nicely with my front porch.
I received a quart of the Front Door paint and, after painting the inside and outside with two coats each, I had about 2/3 of the quart still left! The coverage is amazing. I did prep my door with a good cleaning and a little sanding on areas of previous drips.
Have to say with all honesty, I love this paint.
If you're thinking about changing the color of your front (or any door), Modern Masters has a neat app where you can take a picture of your door and then pop in the colors they offer to see which one you may like best. Here's a link: Modern Masters Front Door App.
