Beautiful DIY Barnwood Bathroom

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you may have seen the sneak peek of the bathroom that my friend, Jan, and her husband, Chris, built.

We were at their house for a 4th of July party which gave me the perfect opportunity to slip away from the festivities and grab some pics of her cool bathroom to share with you.  Beware, I am that friend.

They began by totally gutting the bathroom with its garden tub, small shower, and typical closet.  Oh, and even the door!

Why would you keep a typical door when you could have THIS door!  Gah!  I want it.  Don't know where I could put it but I want it.  The wood is reclaimed from an old barn.  I love the worn look and even the old nail holes.  Perfection.

For the floor, they chose this beautiful wood-look ceramic tile.  Whoever in the tile company came up with these, I say thank you.  You're a genius and deserve a raise.  You can tell them I said so.

The walls (are you ready for this?) are sheets of wood paneling.  Ya'll!  I saw this first hand and it doesn't look like ANY wood paneling I've seen before.  It looks like individual planks and has some serious character.  For the trim, they used more of the reclaimed barn wood.

Hello beautiful closet door!!  Yes, I know.  I have closet door envy too.

And, then there's this set of bad boys that are the doors to her linen closet!  I'm dying.

And, as if that's not enough, there's THIS!  The shower room!  Look at this!  Tell me that wouldn't get you off to a great start in the morning.  Or, maybe it could make you late in the morning.  I would have a hard time leaving ;)

Jan and Chris thought out every detail.  Those faucets...awesome!  Not sure if you can tell from my pic but those lights!  Barn lights attached to a large reclaimed beam.  Love it!  The trim on the mirrors!  Yep!  Wrap it all up.  I'll take it.

Oh!  And just to let you know, I did return to the party, just in time for some deliciously, creative food!

Now, I have to confess, Chris is a builder (Duggin Barns, check them out on Facebook). However, most of these projects could be done by someone with moderate DIY skills.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks to Jan and Chris for allowing me to share their awesome DIY bathroom using barn wood!

God bless!

Angie
